THE STORY

Fusionstrike started with a familiar frustration: spending long hours at a desk shouldn’t leave your wrists aching, your arms uncomfortable, or your workspace feeling like it’s fighting you.

Like many people building something of their own, I spent years working at a desk for long stretches at a time. I tried the usual solutions: desk mats, wrist rests, padded supports. None of them felt quite right. Some looked good but offered little comfort. Others focused on ergonomics but felt bulky, cheap, or out of place.

Instead of accepting that trade-off, I began exploring whether a desk mat could be both comfortable and considered, something that felt good to use every day without drawing attention to itself.

In 2020, that curiosity turned into experimentation. A rare rubber sample set the benchmark for what I wanted the mat to feel like: stable, supportive, and comfortable over long sessions. It wasn’t practical to scale, but it made one thing clear - the material mattered.

Over the next 18 months, I worked to find a rubber compound that could deliver the same feel more responsibly and consistently. That search led to limestone-based rubber, refined and tested until it met the standard I had been chasing.

Fusionstrike’s Limestone Desk Pad launched quietly in 2023. No big claims, no gimmicks, just a desk surface designed for people who spend serious time at their desk and want their setup to reflect that.

Today, Fusionstrike remains focused on doing one thing well. As materials improve, so will the product, always with comfort, durability, and thoughtful design at the centre.

Because the desk is where a lot of life happens. It deserves better than an afterthought.

We’re still refining. Our goal isn’t to release dozens of products. It is to perfect one. As materials improve, so will the mat.

HOW AND WHAT

The Original Limestone Desk Mat is made from a limestone-based rubber compound rather than conventional petroleum-based alternatives.

Limestone rubber offers greater density and temperature stability, resulting in a surface that stays comfortable during long sessions and doesn’t become tacky against the skin.

The raw material is sourced from South Korea and processed into sheets using controlled heat and pressure to achieve consistent thickness, grip, and surface feel.

Our manufacturing process recycles heat and water internally to improve efficiency and reduce waste during production, without compromising material performance.

We continue to refine materials as better options become viable, but performance and durability remain the standard every version must meet.

WHERE & WHY

Fusionstrike is a UK-based brand. Our desk mats are manufactured in Asia, where the world’s most advanced rubber processing facilities are located.

We chose this region for one reason: material capability. The specific limestone-based rubber used in our desk pads is processed and refined at a level that simply isn’t available at scale in the UK.

Working directly with our manufacturing partners allows us to control material sourcing, tolerances, and finishing, rather than relying on off-the-shelf components.

The result is a desk mat that meets our standards for density, grip, durability, and surface feel, without compromise.

Our manufacturing partners operate under modern safety and labour standards, and we maintain direct oversight of production runs to ensure consistency and quality.
